# Understanding HPD-Sourced VOC and LEED Fields in Material Hub

> Use HPD-sourced VOC and compliance fields to evaluate products against LEED v4.1 low-emitting materials criteria.

*Written by Patricia Causey · Updated March 20, 2026*

Acelab surfaces health and environmental data from Health Product Declarations (HPDs), including VOC content and LEED compliance checks. This article explains which fields to reference when evaluating products for LEED v4.1 low-emitting materials requirements.

## Before You Begin

* HPD fields are automatically populated from publicly available HPD data. They cannot be manually edited.
* Data availability depends on whether a manufacturer has published an HPD. Fields will be empty for products without one.
* To check whether a product has an HPD, look for **"HPD Health Product Declaration"** in the **All Certifications** field.

## The Relevant Fields

**VOC Content Material (g/L)** Reports the VOC content of the product in its liquid state, measured in grams per liter. This value comes directly from the HPD's Performance Metrics section. You can also view this data as a visual graph on the product's detail page.

</Frame>

**LEED Pre-checks** Reports the LEED compliance check as provided by the HPD. For LEED v4.1 work, this is your primary reference — it tells you directly whether a product has been pre-checked for LEED compliance, without requiring you to interpret raw VOC values yourself.

<Tip>
  Think of it this way: **VOC Content Material (g/L)** is the raw measurement, and **LEED Pre-checks** is the verdict.

## How to Add These Fields to Your Schedule

1. Open your project and navigate to **Schedules**. Click **Fields** in the top bar, then search for **VOC Content Material (g/L)** and add it to your schedule.

2. [Add a field](/help-center/working-on-projects/editing-project-field-types) called **LEED Pre-checks** schedule.

3. Optionally, add **All Certifications** to confirm which products have an HPD on file.

## Outcome

Your schedule will display VOC measurements and LEED Pre-check status alongside each product, making it straightforward to identify which products meet LEED v4.1 low-emitting materials criteria at a glance.
