# Changing Field Types

> <Note As of December 2025, with the introduction of Company fields, Custom fields created in the Material Hub are called Project fields.

## **Changing from Custom/Project Fields to Company Fields**

Any Project fields in the Library can be converted into Company fields. This means they will become available for project teams to add to projects. See here for more information on Company Fields.

## **Changing from Company Fields to Project Fields**

Company fields cannot be converted into Project fields.
