# Beyond illumination 2.0: Expecting More From Your Lighting
> Learn how lighting can be evaluated beyond lumens per watt and task-focused performance, with a broader approach to lighting specification and design.
In this video, **Chris Romani** presents **Beyond illumination 2.0: Expecting More From Your Lighting** and explores how to think beyond basic lighting metrics when specifying lighting systems. Learn how lighting can be evaluated beyond lumens per watt and task-focused performance, with a broader approach to lighting specification and design.
**This course covers:**
✅ Key concepts in modern lighting design and specification ✅ How to think beyond basic illumination needs ✅ Moving beyond lumens-per-watt when evaluating lighting ✅ Considerations beyond task-focused lighting performance ✅ Approaches to expecting more from lighting systems in architectural spaces
