The Accounts and Projects dashboards provide powerful tools to organize and find exactly what you’re looking for. Whether you need to filter by status, sort by date, or search by keyword, these features help you focus on what matters most.Searching
Using the Search Bar
The search bar at the top of each dashboard allows you to quickly find accounts or projects by name or keywords:- Click the search bar at the top of the dashboard
- Type keywords such as:
- Account or project name
- Client name
- Location or address
- Project type or specialty
- Results update in real-time as you type
- Click a result to jump directly to that item
Advanced Search
For more specific searches, use the advanced search options:- Click the Advanced Search button (usually shown as a funnel icon with ”+”)
- Combine multiple search criteria:
- Contains text in name
- Contains text in description
- Specific date ranges
- Custom fields
- Click Apply to filter results
Filtering
Understanding Filters
Filters narrow down your dashboard view by specific criteria. The available filters depend on your dashboard:Accounts Dashboard Filters
- Status — Active, Inactive, Archived, or On Hold
- Region — Geographic location or office
- Account Type — Client type or industry category
- Team Member — Filter by assigned account manager
- Date Range — Created or last modified dates
- Custom Fields — Any custom metadata configured for your organization
Projects Dashboard Filters
- Status — Planning, In Progress, On Hold, Completed, or Archived
- Account — Filter by parent account
- Project Type — New construction, renovation, feasibility study, etc.
- Team Member — Filter by assigned project lead
- Priority — High, Medium, Low
- Due Date — Projects due within a specific timeframe
- Custom Fields — Your organization’s custom properties
Applying Filters
- Locate the Filter Panel (usually on the left sidebar)
- Click on a filter category to expand it
- Select the values you want to filter by:
- Check boxes to include items
- Some filters allow multiple selections
- Click Apply or filters update automatically
- Your selected filters are displayed as tags above the results
Removing Filters
- Click the X on any filter tag to remove it
- Click Clear All to remove all active filters
- Click Reset to return to the default filter state
Creating Filter Presets
Save your favorite filter combinations for quick access:- Set up your desired filters
- Click Save View or Save as Filter Preset
- Give your preset a name (e.g., “High Priority Projects”)
- Access saved presets from the sidebar or filter menu
- Edit or delete saved presets from the filter management area
Sorting
Sort Options
You can sort your dashboard by various criteria:Common Sort Options
- Name (A-Z) — Alphabetical order
- Date Created — Newest or oldest first
- Date Modified — Recently updated items first
- Status — Grouped by status type
- Priority — High to low or low to high
- Team Member — Alphabetical by assigned person
- Custom Fields — Sort by any custom field
How to Sort
- Look for the Sort button or Columns menu (usually near the top-right)
- Click to see available sort options
- Select your desired sort method
- Click the sort button again to reverse the sort order (ascending/descending)
- The current sort is typically indicated by an icon (↑ ↓) next to the sort field name
Multi-Level Sorting
For advanced organization, some dashboards allow multi-level sorting:- Set your primary sort (e.g., Status)
- Click Add Secondary Sort or similar option
- Choose a secondary sort field (e.g., Due Date)
- Items are sorted first by the primary criteria, then by secondary
Combining Search, Filters, and Sorting
For maximum efficiency, you can combine all three:- Search to narrow by keywords
- Filter to focus on specific categories
- Sort to arrange results in your preferred order
View Preferences
Changing Display Options
- Click the View menu or layout icons (usually near the top)
- Select your preferred view:
- List View — Compact, scrollable list
- Grid View — Card-based display
- Table View — Column-based with detailed info
- Your preference is typically saved for future visits
Customizing Columns (Table View)
If using table view, customize which columns display:- Click the Columns or Customize View button
- Check/uncheck columns to show/hide
- Drag columns to reorder them
- Click Apply to save your layout

- Use Saved Filters — Create filters for your most common views to save time
- Combine Criteria — Use multiple filters together for powerful results
