Smart Schedule inserts an existing project schedule onto a Smart Doc page as a table. The table stays connected to the schedule, so edits made in Schedules show up in your document automatically. Use it when you want a full schedule (all rows, selected columns) to appear inside a deliverable.
Smart Schedule was previously called “Smart Table.” Both refer to the same feature.

When To Use Smart Schedule

  • Product list tables in a submittal or spec section.
  • Summary schedules on a cover page or appendix.
  • Bid or take-off tables where you want the full row list, not one page per product.
If you want a full page per product instead of a table row per product, use a Reference Binder.

Inserting a Smart Schedule

  1. Open a Smart Doc and select the page to place the table on.
  2. In the left rail, open the Smart Table drawer.
  3. Search or scroll to find the project schedule you want.
  4. Click the schedule to insert it as a table on the active page.
The table drops onto the canvas at a default size and can be dragged, resized, and repositioned like any element.

Configuring the Table

With the table selected, use the inspector on the right (Schedule Properties Panel) to:
  • Choose columns to include or hide. Only columns you enable render in the table.
  • Reorder columns to control display order in the document.
  • Set column widths and text alignment.
  • Show or hide the header row.
  • Filter or sort the rows shown, without affecting the underlying schedule.
  • Style the table (borders, header background, row shading, font size).
Changes here affect only the document, they don’t change the schedule itself.

Keeping in Sync

A Smart Schedule stays connected to its source schedule:
  • Adding a product to the schedule adds a row to the table.
  • Removing a product removes its row.
  • Editing a field value in the schedule updates the value in the table.
  • Renaming a field updates the column header.
You don’t need to refresh, updates flow through automatically.

Managing Smart Schedules on a Page

  • A single page can hold multiple Smart Schedules (for example, two different schedules side by side).
  • If a table has more rows than fit on one page, use pagination in the Schedule Properties Panel or split the table across pages manually.
  • Delete a Smart Schedule from the canvas by selecting it and pressing delete. This removes it from the document; the underlying schedule is untouched.

Smart Schedule vs. Smart Fields

See Smart Fields for placing individual values on a page.
